Inauguration 2017: System Adjustments & Corral Service

If you’ve been riding around downtown DC in the last few weeks, this will come as no surprise – we have some announcements regarding Capital Bikeshare service during the 2017 Presidential Inauguration. Get all the details on which stations are affected and where to find Corral Service on January 20.

SERVICE ALERT: System Map Not Properly Displaying Key-Vending Stations

Last year, we introduced a new type of station where members can pick up new or replacement keys at the kiosk. At sign-up, or when replacing a key, members can receive a code that will allow them to pick up their key at these stations without having to wait for one to arrive in the mail.

We have identified a flaw in our System Map that prevents it from displaying these locations properly. As a result, it is not possible to identify where keys can be picked up. We are working with our software partners to fix this flaw as soon as possible.

Until this feature is restored, a complete list of key-vending stations is in this post.

Test Your Mettle - Be a Capital Bikeshare Winter Warrior

It’s winter. That didn’t stop our members from taking more than 4,500 trips during a blustery, frigid day last month. We’re blown away by the ridership numbers so far this season, so we’re issuing a challenge to all of our members to start off 2017. We’re open year-round, but are you a Capital Bikeshare Winter Warrior?
