Mobile App Instructions
To purchase a Single Trip through the Capital Bikeshare mobile app, follow these steps:
- Download the app for iPhone or Android
- Sign in using your phone number
- Find a Capital Bikeshare bike and click the scan button in the app
- Scan the QR code found on front stemcap of the bike between the handle bars
- When the light on the dock turns green, lift the bike by the seat to remove it from the dock
- Enjoy your ride!
To end a ride, return your bike to any station with an empty dock. Insert your bike firmly into the dock, and wait for the green light to make sure it's locked.
To ride again on a Single Trip, just scan the QR code of the next bike you would like to rent.
To purchase a 24-hour Pass through the Capital Bikeshare mobile app, follow these steps:
- Download the app for iPhone or Android
- Sign in using your phone number
- Click Get a Pass
- Select the pass or membership you want to purchase
- Once you've purchased your pass, go to the Capital Bikeshare bike and click the scan button
- Scan the QR code found on front stemcap between the handle bars
- When the light on the dock turns green, lift the bike by the seat to remove it from the dock
- Enjoy your ride!
To end a ride, return your bike to any station with an empty dock. Insert your bike firmly into the dock, and wait for the green light to make sure it's locked.
To ride again with a 24-Hour Pass, just scan the QR code of the next bike you would like to rent. You can ride as many times as you want while your pass is active.
